Dr. Tamara Cullen Evans, ND (retired)

NOTE: As of the Summer of 2017, Dr. Evans is retired from her practice and no longer seeing patients at Naturopathic Family Medicine.

Dr. Evans is a different kind of physician. She takes time to know her patients. She is diligent in searching for answers and connections. She listens to what her patients need and together they find the right path.

Becoming a physician had always been her dream. After completing her pre-med degree in 1992, Dr. Evans planned on attending conventional medical school, but she became discouraged by what conventional medicine had to offer her clients when she took time off to work in the field of mental health as a therapist and caseworker. She began to explore other medical options, which eventually led her to Bastyr University. She was attracted to the Bastyr program because of the way it combined science, tradition, compassion and consciousness. Bastyr offered Dr. Evans a better way of practicing medicine.

While always feeling an affinity towards women´s healthcare, Dr. Evans began to feel a strong calling toward pediatrics after having her son, Max. She began to realize that by teaching healthy habits of care to children from the earliest age, she could make the biggest difference in the world.

Dr. Evans is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and a 1999 graduate of Bastyr University. She served as adjunct faculty at Bastyr University in their Teaching Clinic for 5 years and currently serves as professor of Advanced Pediatrics.

Dr. Evans was named one of 2008’s Top Doctors by her peers in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, and again in 2016.
