Dr. Hansen is a naturopathic doctor who is interested in providing her patients with personalized health care using a mix of herbal and conventional modalities. Her practice focuses largely on women’s and LBGTQ health with a specialty in hormone management. Dr. Hansen strives to help women rebalance their hormones, from regulating menstrual cycles to ensuring a smooth transition into menopause via use of herbal treatments as well as bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. She understands that each patients experience with menopause is unique and she will strive to develop an individualized treatment plan based on her patient’s specific needs. Common symptoms addressed by Dr. Hansen include hot flashes, insomnia, mood changes, low libido and hormone-related weight gain.
Her interest in naturopathic medicine stemmed from her background in massage therapy. Being a massage therapist for many years helped her to recognize the positive impact that physical touch had on her client’s overall health, which encouraged her to advance her training in natural health modalities. This led her to Bastyr University where she earned her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Now she is able to integrate several different modalities to address all aspects of her patient’s health.
Dr. Hansen is available for appointments at Naturopathic Family Medicine on Monday evenings and Tuesday afternoons. (She also sees patients at our downtown location – Natural Healthcare Northwest – on Thursdays and Fridays.)
